Carlo Benvenuto

Carlo Benvenuto (Stresa, 1966) wants to communicate as little as possible through his works.
The artist works in his own home with his own objects, reducing individual choices to a minimum, he photographs what he has available on a 1:1 scale on a neutral background in a rarefied atmosphere of delicacy and suspense.
The absence of surrounding elements transforms common things into a mystery, all wrapped in a soft light with indisputable pictorial qualities.
Form and composition, together with a wise balance of light and chromatic tones, play a fundamental role and declare his admiration for classical painting.
Carlo Benvenuto has held solo exhibitions and taken part in group exhibitions in important Italian and foreign exhibition spaces such as the Mart in Rovereto, the GAMEC in Bergamo, the MACRO in Rome and the Luigi Pecci Museum of Contemporary Art in Prato.
He lives and works in Milan.
