Rosa dei Venti Round Table
Mario Ceroli, 1970s
Rosa dei Venti round table in pinewood, designed by Mario Ceroli for Poltronova in the 1970s
This table belongs to the Mobili nella Valle series created by Mario Ceroli during the 1970s. It features exquisite inlays on both the tabletop and the base.
The tabletop is decorated with a compass rose, a symbol traditionally found on compasses, maps, nautical charts, and monuments used to indicate the orientation of the cardinal points and their intermediate directions.
The inlays are further enhanced with brass accents, representing the four cardinal points: north, east, south, and west.
The manufacturer’s mark and the artist’s signature are fire-branded onto the table’s structure.
